Florida Storm Safety Institute is a charitable organization dedicated to helping homeowners reduce storm-related risk, strengthen their homes, and navigate the growing financial pressures associated with property insurance in Florida. Our organization offers no-cost residential inspections designed to help homeowners identify windstorm mitigation features that improve safety and reduce insurance costs. We also educate Florida residents on how structural components such as roof fasteners, opening protection, and other mitigation features can strengthen a property against severe weather while helping families better understand opportunity areas in their home.
